I'm Roberta Morris. If you've known me for a very long time, I'm probably more familiar as Bobbie Botvin. I changed my name for business purposes some time ago, and liked my alternate moniker so well I took it as my legal name, thereby shedding yet another name acquired by marriage. .

In the course of a very odd career, I've been a freelance journalist and copywriter, an English teacher, the owner of a small ad agency, a social activist, the manager of a huge corporate Web site, and a fundraiser. I've lived in Rhode Island, Manhattan, rural Massachusetts, lower Westchester, and suburban New Jersey.

In this incarnation, I'm a resident of Chapel Hill, NC, where I've installed myself and my cat in a cottage-like condo overlooking a lake. In reality, this a large pond inhabited mostly by carnivorous turtles, raucous geese, and a few haphazardly hybridized ducks. One day, I actually watched the first of these attack and consume one of the last. It wasn't pretty.

Template hell

In an attempt to edit my profile, I managed to screw up the code for my blogger template. Ergo, the text that should be on the top right is now on the bottom left. I'll keep working on this.
